A Private Sandbank
Be set down alone on a sliver of sand in open ocean — the most private stage imaginable.

A secluded sandbank in the middle of the ocean. Champagne as the sun goes down. No crowds, no waiters, no one but the two of you. The most beautiful place you'll ever ask the question.
We give you the privacy and the place; the rest is yours. A few ways the day can unfold.

Be set down alone on a sliver of sand in open ocean — the most private stage imaginable.

Chilled Champagne, the quiet of the water, and not a soul to interrupt.

Time it for sunset, when the sky turns to fire and the moment becomes unforgettable.
The yacht and a secluded spot are yours alone — no other guests, no audience.
We plan the route and timing around sunset so the moment lands exactly right.
Every detail coordinated quietly with you, so your partner never suspects a thing.
Tell us what you'd like the day to include and we'll arrange what we can to make it yours.
Every proposal charter is shaped around you, your resort and the moment you want. Here is one way the day might look, to give you a sense of the pace and the possibilities.
The crew collects you and your partner from your resort's jetty by private speedboat or yacht. Your partner thinks it's a sunset cruise — the crew plays along. Drinks and chilled towels are waiting on board.
A short cruise through turquoise lagoons to a sandbank the crew has scouted and prepared earlier in the day — flowers, lanterns and Champagne already set up. If you've arranged a photographer, they're already in position, hidden from view.
The crew sets you down on the sandbank, gives you space and retreats to the boat. This is your time. The question, the ring, the answer — with nothing but sand, sky and ocean around you.
The crew returns with Champagne — or it's already chilled and waiting. Celebrate on the sandbank as the sun begins its descent, while the photographer captures the first moments of your engagement.
Back aboard, you cruise slowly through the golden hour. The Indian Ocean sunset is unlike anything else — wide, warm, and for this evening, entirely yours. Canapés, drinks and music on deck.
We return you to your jetty as the first stars appear, newly engaged and with a day you'll remember for the rest of your lives. Or, if you'd like, we drop you at a resort restaurant for a private celebration dinner.
This is just one shape a proposal day can take. Some couples prefer a full day — combining snorkelling, a reef visit and a sandbank picnic before the sunset proposal. Others want the simplest, most intimate version: a short cruise, the question, Champagne, home. We shape the day entirely around you.
Every charter is quoted individually based on your date, vessel and what you'd like arranged. These ranges give you a realistic starting point — not a fixed price list.
A fast, private speedboat to a secluded sandbank. Champagne, the question, and a sunset cruise home. Simple, romantic, perfect.
A luxury crewed yacht with space on deck, a sandbank stop, Champagne, canapés and a golden-hour cruise. Room for flowers and personal touches.
A full day aboard a luxury yacht — snorkelling, a private sandbank lunch, the proposal at sunset, dinner on deck or at a resort. Photographer, flowers, decorations and every detail arranged.
All prices are in USD per charter, not per person. Charters include the private vessel, captain and crew, fuel, Champagne and light refreshments. Extras such as a photographer, floral setup, drone coverage, upgraded dining and resort dinner reservations are quoted separately based on what you'd like. We always provide a full, transparent quote before you commit — no hidden charges.
The Maldives is beautiful year-round, but the season you choose affects the sea conditions, the light and the feel of the day.
December to April (dry season) brings calm seas, clear skies and the most reliable, golden sunsets — this is when most proposals happen, and for good reason. Sea conditions are typically flat, making for a smooth, comfortable cruise.
May to November (wet season) is quieter and more affordable. Rain tends to fall in short, dramatic bursts rather than all day, and the post-storm sunsets can be extraordinarily vivid. Seas are slightly rougher but still manageable on most days.
Our advice: book the proposal for early in your trip — ideally with at least one buffer day — so if weather forces a reschedule, we have room to move. And tell us your dates; we'll be honest about what to expect.

We don't have a single "proposal boat." We have a network of private vessels across the Maldives and match the right one to your day — your group size, your budget and the experience you want.
Fast, sleek and perfect for a sunset sandbank proposal. Reach any spot quickly, with an air-conditioned cabin and open deck. Ideal for couples who want simplicity and intimacy.
More space, more comfort, more presence. Sun decks, lounging areas and room for flowers, decorations and a photographer. The classic choice for a proposal with all the trimmings.
Stable, spacious and shallow-drafted — they slip close to reefs and sandbanks. Wide decks for dining and celebrating. A beautiful platform for a full-day proposal experience.
Tell us your dates, group size and what you'd like to do, and we'll reply personally with the right vessel and a tailored quote — usually within hours.
Your request is with us. We'll reply personally, very soon, with the right vessel and a tailored quotation.
Yes. We arrange a private, fully crewed day charter set up specifically for a proposal — a secluded sandbank or quiet lagoon, Champagne and a sunset, with the timing and privacy planned discreetly with you in advance. Every detail is coordinated quietly via WhatsApp or email so the day stays a complete surprise for your partner.
Private proposal charters start from around $1,000 for a speedboat sunset experience with Champagne and a sandbank stop. A luxury yacht proposal with flowers, photographer and a full sunset cruise typically runs $2,000–$3,500. Full-day romantic charters with snorkelling, dining and all the trimmings range from $3,500–$5,000+. All prices are per charter, not per person, and include the vessel, crew, fuel, Champagne and light refreshments. Extras like photography, floral setups and upgraded dining are quoted separately.
A typical sunset proposal cruise is 3–4 hours, timed so the golden hour frames the moment. If you'd like a longer experience — combining snorkelling, a sandbank picnic and the proposal — a full-day charter gives you 6–8 hours on the water.
Absolutely. This is what we do. We coordinate every detail with you privately — your partner will simply think it's a sunset cruise. The crew know exactly when to give you space, when to open the Champagne and, if arranged, when to signal the photographer. We've helped dozens of partners pull off the surprise flawlessly.
We collect you from your resort jetty or from the Malé/Hulhumalé marina and return you the same evening. Most resort pickups in North and South Malé Atoll are included at no extra charge. If you're staying further afield, we'll advise on the best logistics.
Yes. We work with professional proposal photographers based in the Maldives who specialise in discreet, natural coverage. They can be hidden aboard the boat or positioned on the sandbank in advance. Drone footage is also available, subject to local regulations. We coordinate the timing and positioning so you don't have to think about it on the day.
Yes — rose petals, floral arrangements, lanterns, candles, a Bluetooth speaker with your chosen playlist, and a decorated table on the sandbank or on deck. Tell us your vision and we'll source and arrange everything. Some partners send us a Pinterest board or a few photos of what they'd like, and we recreate it.
If conditions make the cruise unsafe or genuinely unpleasant, we reschedule to the next available day at no extra charge. If your travel dates don't allow a reschedule, a full refund is provided. This is why we strongly recommend booking the proposal for early in your trip — ideally with at least one buffer day — so there's room to move if needed.
December to April (the dry season) brings the calmest seas, clearest skies and the most reliably golden sunsets — the majority of proposals happen in this window. May to November is quieter and more affordable; rain tends to come in short bursts, and the post-storm sunsets can be even more vivid. Both seasons work beautifully.
Every proposal charter includes a chilled bottle of premium Champagne and light tropical refreshments. If you'd like more — canapés, a multi-course dinner on deck, or a full sandbank dining experience with a private chef — we arrange it as an add-on and quote it transparently in advance.
